I am the owner of Cake Engineering, LLC, I hold a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. I love to decorate cakes and always try to improve upon my last cake. I have never attended any kind of pastry school or taken any advanced decorating classes. I have learned everything I know from the internet, books, magazines, tv, and random experiments. I'm nowhere close to being an expert cake artist, but I try my best and am always looking for learning new techniques...I never want to stop learning.

So my university communications department saw the article about me that I posted the link to earlier and asked me if they could send it to news affiliates in Des Moines and my hometown of Sioux City Iowa. I didn't see why not, so I allowed them to send the link to the article. Well the next day I was bombarded by three newspapers and a tv station that wanted to interview me. I was sooo excited!
